What happens when a professional translator gets a document to work on?
Once the translator knows exactly which requirements are involved, they familiarize themselves with the material to be translated.
Afterwards they research the special area of expertise necessary for the translation, and prepare a list of specialized vocabulary to work with to guarantee consistency in their translation.
Only then the translator begins their work, i. e. the translation and localization of the material.
Throughout the whole translation process the client should be open to answer any questions the translator may have in order to ensure the correct use of terminology.
Once the translation is finished, it is subject to quality insurance which includes checking the target material against the source material for accuracy and consistency, as well as proofreading the translation for spelling, grammatical, or syntactical errors.
Now it is time to deliver the final translation and request feedback about it.
